WHITBY AREA SCOUTREES 2019

                                                 

Date: Saturday May 4, 2019 - Rain or Shine  

Location: Waterfront Trail   

 Go South on Thickson Rd. To William Smith Dr. (All most to the end of Thickson Rd.) Turn right on William Smith Dr. continue as it becomes Moore Court to parking lot at Multi-Plastics Canada. Please park on the East side. Look for the trailer and BBQ.  Time:  All planting starts at 9:00 am. (usually done around 11:00 am)  


Equipment Required:
  Pail for wood chips, gloves, rubber boots and shovel that can cut through the grass.  Please label all equipment that you bring.  Also some means of cleaning your hands prior to eating is recommended.  


Food:
   Once again we will have Hot Dogs & Drinks.       


Staffing:
  The Town will organize the trees and be available to advise.  


Facilities:
  Portable toilet will be on site.  


Monies:
  Sections please give all your pledge sheets/envelopes and monies collected to your Group Commissioner.  On the White Pine website is the participation report form required to be completed by each group.   In the past, a portion of funds raised in the name of Scoutrees was contributed to the World Brotherhood Fund. Beginning in 2019, Groups will retain 100% of funds raised to support their Scoutrees planting events and other Scouting adventures. Scouts Canada will continue to operate the World Brotherhood Fund in support of international service projects.  Please add up all donations which require a tax receipt and make a cheque payable for this amount to Scouts Canada.  This amount will, in turn, be returned to the group from Scouts Canada.  This is a requirement of Revenue Canada.  Each Group Commissioner please ensure that this cheque and all pledge sheets (requirement of Revenue Canada) be turned in to Dave Reid at the May Area Forum.  See Instructions for Donations
