Equipment Required:      Pail for wood chips and water, garden gloves, rubber boots (depending on weather) and shovel that can cut through grassy field.  It would be a good idea to label items in case they are left behind.  Wet ones or hand sanitizer is also recommended for washing up after planting, using washrooms and before eating.

Staffing:  The Town will be organizing and available for instructions on planting.

Monies:  Please encourage all youth to do their best in this Scout Fundraiser.  The entire amount collected is to be handed in no later than the May 21 Area Forum with the envelopes. The cost of badges and 15% for the brotherhood fund will be taken out; the remainder will be sent back to the group. Event badges will be issued by the number of envelopes returned, so please return the empty one’s as well.

Tax Receipts: Tax Receipts will only be issued if indicated on the pledge form and only for amounts of $20 or more.

The Town of Whitby is a great supporter to Scouts & Scoutrees.  They have purchased all the trees we will be planting, arranging their deliver, supplying the wood chips and water plus providing us with staff to assist on the planting day.  .

On the map it shows the tree planting area.  Refreshments will be located in the same area.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail.
