WOOD BADGE PART I - OBJECTIVES
Leaders recruited to all sections require certain common basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to be able to contribute to the delivery of a quality program. The leader must complete the online training to complete the membership registration and screening process. All Volunteers should take this in person workshop within 1 year or preferably within 4 months in order to gain additional depth of understanding of the program and to build confidence in the delivery of program to the youth.

All training is based on the program as defined in Scouts Canada’s publications, applicable bylaws, policies, procedures, the National Program Standards and any other guidelines established by Scouts Canada.

All program planning and delivery must be appropriate to the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual capabilities of the youth involved.

Volunteers receive the Wood Badge Part I recognition (certificate & Turks head woggle) when they complete the training course.
