Training Application Procedure

All training courses require a completed Regional Training Application Form and an up to date Physical Fitness Certificate. Please remember to sign both of these forms. ONLY Group Committee cheque(s) in the amount of the fee required for the course will be accepted. NO CASH or PERSONAL CHEQUES will be accepted.

In the case of District personnel. Please complete the applicable training application (Regional/District Training Application Form or Advanced Training Application) and a Physical Fitness Certificate and submit to the ADC of Training for processing.

Note: The Regional Training Application Form and Physical Fitness Certificate can be downloaded from the Whitby Area web-site forms page at http://www.whitbyscouts.org/forms.html or by clicking on links on this page.

Guidelines to help you in the process:

  1. Group Chair/Designate to compile a list and collect all forms for their respective group members requesting training.
  2. Via email or phone, contact the Course Leader/ADC of Training with applicant(s) name to be put on a registration list.
  3. Issue one Group Committee cheque for the total amount of applications and deliver, along with all forms, to the Course Leader/ADC of Training before the course deadline.
  4. For administration purposes, please issue separate cheques for each course, i.e. Woodbadge Part I, Camp Skills, etc.
  5. Receipts will be issued for all courses and then distributed to the Group Chair/Designate at the first District Council Meeting following the course.
